RGB arrives with an unconscious Hero at the The House of Paint. He asks Madras for her help, in return she asks for some of his ink as payment and warns him not to get attached. Hero is healed, and she and RGB set out the next morning towards the ferry. They meet TOby, who tells them the ferry has been sunk and that they'd need to find another way to cross. While RGB and TOby talk, Hero builds a bridge using giant books so she and RGB can continue.
